Announcing London School of Economics’ new blog venture, USApp- American Politics and Policy, which launched on 2 September.

British Association for American StudiesUSApp’s central mission is to increase the public understanding of social science in the context of American politics and policymaking. Our focus is broad-based and multidisciplinary, covering all aspects of governance, economics, politics, culture and society in the United States, and in its continental neighbours, Canada and Mexico.

USApp posts two new articles every weekday, an American political blog round up every Friday, and American related book reviews on Sundays. Readers are also able to sign up to a weekly update of articles every Friday, and you can find the latest example below. You can sign up to our weekly roundup of articles by clicking the following link and entering your details: http://blogs.lse.ac.uk/usappblog/about-usapp/email-subscription/, or by responding to this email and putting ‘Subscribe’ in the subject line.

USApp is operated by the LSE’s Public Policy Group (PPG), ranked as the 7th most influential university-based think tank worldwide by the University of Pennsylvania, and which also won a UK Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Award for Knowledge Exchange/Transfer Initiative of the Year for 2012 for its blog initiatives. USApp builds on PPG’s wider family of blogs, which receives over 130,000 visitors every month.
