The School of Politics and International Relations at Queen Mary University of London is pleased to announce that we are seeking to appoint an exceptional scholar to take up the position of Lecturer in US Politics from September 2016. Internationally recognised for its commitment to high quality research, the School strives to combine efficient organisation with a congenial, collegiate atmosphere that encourages collective as well as individual excellence.
We particularly welcome applicants with a research focus on the domestic politics and government of the United States, or those with expertise in aspects of US Foreign Policy and international relations. Applicants must have a developing reputation for internationally excellent research and an established record of high quality publications. The person appointed will offer research supervision and contribute to the School’s undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes. The successful candidate will deliver and convene our new undergraduate module, US Politics (POL250). The post-holder will also be expected to make a contribution to first year teaching, and to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations.
