Last Chance to Register for Hardboiled History: A Noir Lens on America’s Past

Hardboiled History is an interdisciplinary conference that brings together researchers interested in the ways contemporary media represents and reinterprets history, by exploring how and why “noir” resurfaces in depictions of America’s past across mediums. It features keynote addressed from Dr. Helen Hanson (Exeter) and graphic novelist and comic artist Warren Pleece.

The programme features papers on film, television, literature, video games, and star studies.
