Congress to Campus UK, November 2010

In November, immediately after the mid-term elections, Congress to Campus UK will bring
over two former Members of the US Congress (one from each major party) for a programmes
of events lasting for a full week.

Rhodes Professorship of American History

FACULTY OF HISTORY in association with St Catherine’s College

Following the election of Professor Richard Carwardine to the Presidency of Corpus Christi College, Oxford, the University intends to appoint a Rhodes Professor of American History with effect from 1 October 2011, or as soon as possible thereafter.

OAH Willi Paul Adams Award and OAH David Thelen Award
The David Thelen Award is a biennial award (formerly the Foreign Language Article Prize through 1998) for the best article on American history published in a foreign language. The winning article will be published inThe Journal of American History.  David Thelen was editor of The Journal of American History 1985-1999.

The Willi Paul Adams Award is a biennial award for the best book on American history published in a foreign language. The award (formerly the Foreign Language Book Prize through 2001) is named for Willi Paul Adams, who was an active member of OAH in Germany and a tireless advocate of the internationalization of American history.
