BAAS Webster and Mailbase Coordinator
BAAS is looking to appoint a new webster and mailbase coordinator. The person appointed will take responsibility for maintaining and developing the BAAS website and distributing messages on, and keeping up to date, the BAAS mailbase. Much of the information used on the BAAS website is now stored in databases and the new webster will require skills not only in web design but in ASP and/or PHP programming and should be familiar with MS Access and/or MySQL. Currently the mailbase exists as an email distribution list. The appointed person will need to reply promptly to requests to distribute information both on the website and the mailbase.
Because BAAS is a registered charity, the role, like that of the executive committee members, is unpaid. The successful candidate will become a co-opted member of the BAAS publications subcommittee, which meets three times a year. Expenses to attend the meetings are paid, including overnight accommodation where necessary. Interested candidates should contact Graham Thompson (graham.thompson@nottingham.ac.uk) in the first instance to discuss the role in more depth.
Please send a short CV and letter in support of your application as email attachments to: graham.thompson@nottingham.ac.uk
